About us

The story begins with a group of friends and a shared passion for pasta and natural wine.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Silvia, Giulia, Luca, Andrea, and Joriva, LaRina opened its doors at 387 Myrtle Avenue in August 2016.

The name is a family tribute: Rina was Giulia and Luca’s grandmother—a symbol of food, love, and hospitality. Like so many nonne in Italy, she embodied the spirit of gathering around the table.

At LaRina, pasta is at the heart of everything. Each dish is made in-house with care using Italian flour, offering a daily selection of shapes, sizes, and fillings that reflect both tradition and creativity.

The menu is curated by Chef Silvia Barban and her team, drawing from her family heritage and the diverse culinary traditions of Italy. With a strong focus on seasonality, ingredients are sourced from trusted local purveyors such as Della Pietra for meats and Greenpoint Fish Market for fresh seafood.

Luca Pelliccioni, Director of Operations, the man behind the business. He oversees every aspect of the guest experience with precision and care, ensuring a warm and seamless visit from start to finish.

The wine program, led by sommelier Andrea Mancin, features more than 600 labels, spanning both natural and classic wines. The list highlights a wide range of regions, grapes, and denominations from Italy and beyond, with a special focus on small producers preserving indigenous varietals.
